Promoted by the Association Agostinho da Silva and supported by the Portuguese and Brazilian governments, as well as a wide range of public and private entities, the Commemoration of the centenary of Agostinho da Silva had its official start on February 13, 2006, which is during the year 2007, with significant consequences in 2008, notably through the creation of the magazine Nova Águia and the MIL-Movimento Internacional Lusófono.
